Boreskov Institute of Catalysis was founded in 1958 as a part of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The founder and the first Director of the Institute till 1984 was academician Georgii Konstantinovich Boreskov.

6th EFCATS Summer School will be in Izmir, Turkey from 13th - 19th September 2010

Dear Members of the EFCATS council;

On behalf of the organizing committee, it is my great pleasure to extend a warm invitation to you and the interested members of your local societies to participate in the 6th EFCATS Summer School scheduled to be held in Izmir, Turkey from 13th - 19th September 2010, in the Angora Beach Resort Hotel.

The 2010 EFCATS Catalysis school is part of a successful series of summer schools that was started in Czech Republic (2001) and was followed up in Hungary (2002), Poland (2004), Russia (2006) and Greece (2009). Catalysis Society of Turkey will organize the 6th EFCATS catalysis school (2010) in Turkey.This Summer School seeks to foster discussion between leading and new practitioners in the science of new processes and selective catalysts towards new energy vectors, the rational use of energy, catalyst design, characterization and recovery.

Together, we will explore new applications of preparation, characterization, testing and surface science of catalysis through a s eries of plenary and invited lecturers as well as lively poster sessions.This summer school is also suitable for advanced graduate students and post-docs, young faculty researchers, and industry professionals.
